recent news report – pryr request
Maybe you’ve heard in the news the recent outbreak of protests in the city over the burning of a h*ly book on one of the air bases. It’s such an unfortunate situation that should have been prevented; nonetheless, the backlash of the outbreaks have caused us to have extra careful precautions when traveling. Although we haven’t had anything happen in our neighborhood, we are not allowed to leave the compound because there are demonstrations happening in the city. So, if you read in the news about them, know they are happenings. But also know that they are not happening near us, thankfully.
The biggest thing to attack our school recently is the flu. We have tons of students absent with the flu. Luckily we’ve been able to avoid it, but please continue to pray that we will stay healthy. It’s hard to be healthy when you are surrounded by sick people.
Also, please pray that the school finds the money to pay the teachers. For our last pay check, we only received half of our contracted salary. We have another pay check due on the 29th and it will take a Godly miracle for them to be able to pay us.
So, with the flu running around, snow on the ground, and no money in our pockets, people are getting pretty low. But, we are hopeful that God is bigger than any of this and he knows our deepest needs. We need heat, water, food, and shelter. And he has continued to provide that for each of us. Now we need loving attitudes focused on the ‘Light’…please pray we can keep everyone’s Spirits alive!
